Finca Arkdia de Guacas in 🇨🇴 Colombia – Risaralda

About The Farm

Finca Arkdia de Guacas is a family-run, women-led coffee farm located near Santa Rosa de Cabal in the Colombian department of Risaralda. Founded in 1980, the farm covers 15 hectares, nine of which are dedicated to coffee cultivation at elevations between 1,650 and 1,700 metres above sea level.

Leny Cossio is an important part of the farm’s development. As a self-taught producer, she expanded her knowledge through independent study, workshops and technical support from the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation and local cooperatives. Over time, the family moved from selling wet parchment coffee to developing its own specialty coffee processing methods.

Finca Arkdia cultivates Castillo, Caturra and Pink Bourbon and produces natural, semi-washed and honey-processed coffees using traditional and anaerobic fermentation. The cherries are selectively hand-picked, and selected lots achieve cupping scores of approximately 86 points.

The farm follows certified good agricultural practices, operates water treatment systems and transforms organic waste into natural fertiliser. It also protects water springs and natural areas that support local biodiversity.

Through Arkdia Glamping Zone, the family combines coffee production with ecotourism. Visitors can learn about cultivation, processing, water conservation and the farm’s protected areas while experiencing coffee directly at origin.
